At the beginning of January, I said I would be writing more blog entries on a somewhat regular basis — and that was the truth.  Kind of.
However, as I told you last month, my mother ended up in a nursing home following knee replacement surgery back in late-January — and she still is.  As a result of that and the added task of watching over the family home, I’ve had little time to pursue my writing career, though I did manage to get a recent article published on the Internet (and to check that out, please go to http://www.socyberty.com/History/Popeyes-Show-Business-Adventures.514555).  If you read my last blog entry, you know that I’ve decided to shut down my website on Angelfire/Lycos, the one that I’ve had for ten years — all I have to do now is cancel my Angelfire account, which I hope to do this upcoming weekend.
But just because I’ve shut down one website doesn’t mean that I’m through with them — within the next few weeks, I plan on pondering and weighing my options carefully before launching an all-new website; when I’ve finally made my decision, you’ll hear about it right here.  When and if I do unveil a new website, it’ll be somewhat different from the one that I had on Angelfire — again, you’ll hear about it right here.
In addition, I’m also considering exploring the possibility of getting my own accounts on such sites as My Space, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter — something that I’ve resisted for a long time, but can’t ignore any longer.   Hell, I’ve already got the proper resources at my disposal (and sooner or later, I hope to replace the CD-RW drive on my computer with a DVD-RW drive) — so I might as well put them to good use.  I’ll explain more in a future blog article.
In the meantime — stay tuned.
