In my last blog article, I had mentioned that two of my three revised websites were up-and-running. But as for my third one – my Pictures Shop website – well, I’m still trying to work out the bugs on that one. However, I’m now facing another complication as far as both my life and writing/filmmaking career’s concerned – but then, that same complication’s also affecting my family.
Late this past weekend, my 86-year-old mother, Elizabeth Lavernoich, fell down and injured her right leg inside the same home that she’s been living at for fifty-seven years – and ended up going to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, where she still is, as of this writing. Of course, given Mother’s current health problems, an incident like this was bound to happen sooner or later – with all the warning signs virtually present on the day that she had her accident. One thing’s for sure – my mother’s life has definitely changed forever, as well as the lives of yours truly and the rest of my family, and especially since we’ll be facing a lot of challenges in the months to come, including worrying about Mother’s own future, and one that’ll no doubt leave her wheelchair-bound, based on what my family and I know in regards to what happened this past weekend, as well as its consequences (a situation that’s already familiar to the families of my parents’ generation).
In regards to my own future, I’m hoping to continue with both my writing and filmmaking careers – even as my family and I are already starting to face the many changes that are already starting to affect our lives, with more on the way, which will no doubt help to dictate what awaits us.
